Christmas for an almost 3 year old

In case you're wondering, Christmas with an almost 3 year old is definitely the best.

Nikolai was pleasantly excited about presents, but not SO excited that he wanted to tear into all of them at once.

He LOVED the goofy stocking stuffers I got for him (picture below: prism glasses, finger monsters and a magnifying glass).

And he loved all of his presents!

He also loved the candy we had in our stockings--this is him after a cinnamon roll and candy induced sugar crash :)

This was our first Christmas on our own (without family!) and while we missed our loved ones, it was also really special to do Christmas morning with just our family.

To our loved ones: we love you and miss you and hope to see you next year!(?)

I echo your dad -- I so appreciate your blogs and pictures! It makes it easier to feel like I know what's going on in the Michigan Stricklan's house. and Niko is so precious, it is a delight to see his little face!

Oh his hair! I love it! I'm so glad you all had a great Christmas. :)
The boys are at such a fun age. Merry Christmas to you guys! Nikolai is so cute. Is that a portable dishwasher I see in one of those pictures? If so, good job snagging that!

Maren, Merry Christmas to you too! And yes, that is a portable dishwasher back there! I love it so much, it almost got its own blog post when we first got it, but then I felt silly so it didn't... ;)
