A memorial day tromp through the woods

On memorial day, we visited a local science center and bird refuge to show Jesse their birds of prey (how had I not taken him here yet?) and then headed out to the awesome trails behind the center for a little peaceful hike. 

It was incredibly serene and very beautiful.

The highlight of the excursion was seeing 4 turtles and one frog down at the Black Pond. 

Nikolai loved looking at that frog so much, he had a hard time leaving ;)
