Nightly routine

After months, we've finally developed what we feel like is a satisfying bedtime routine with Nikolai. 

Somewhere around 7:45, we give our little buddy a bottle with milk and let him wander around until he's finished it.  Then he gets a diaper change and we brush his little teeth (he has 11 now! can you believe it?!) and then corral him in his room for scripture and prayer with mommy and daddy.  After that, I take off to the livingroom to have a few minutes of quiet time while Jesse reads him some books and then sings him some songs in the rocking chair.  Usually by this point Nikolai knows what's going on and realizes he'll get to rest soon so Jesse often only gets through 1-2 songs before Nikolai squirms out of his arms to be put in bed! It's a great routine for us and let me tell you, I much prefer it to the early months when we had no idea how to get him to sleep every night.  Hoorah for the fact that babies get older! ;)
