Recent family fun

We've gotten to do some fun family things lately!

My library hosted some puppeteers one Saturday, so we went and checked out the show. It was really fun for everyone!

Afterwards they hosted a puppet making workshop, and Nikolai got really into it.

Jesse had a birthday! It was very, very quiet, just the way he likes it.

An aquarium on the other side of the state was having a librarian event where, in exchange to listening briefly to them promo their traveling programs/events, they'd give you two free tickets to the aquarium. It's pretty pricey so we were excited to just pay for Nikolai (Miri is still free, because she was still 2!) I don't think we'll end up going again, just because it's pretty far away and pretty expensive for the size of the aquarium (I feel like everything in CT is expensive though so....) but it was really great to get to go for cheap once!

I don't have any good pictures of the day, but here's Niko posing like this really awesome lazy snapping turtle:

Finally, last week the temperature spiked to an insane 65 degrees, so I picked up the kids after work and we met Jesse downtown for ice cream! It was the perfect way to spend a bit of the afternoon, and super nice to see Jesse in the middle of the day :)

Afterwards, the kids and I met some friends at a park and stayed, chatting and playing, for over two hours. We definitely all needed some outside time, and it was great to spend it that way!
