Family of Five

We are really loving life as a family of five! Sure, it takes longer to get everyone out the door and buckled in the car (you should see how we've Tetris-ed three car seats into our small car's backseat--it's a thing of beauty!), and tantrums can be hard to deal with with a newborn in tow, but overall it's been a pretty easy transition.

Leona's siblings lover her so much and she's pretty lucky to have them.

This past week was spring break for Nikolai, and I'm happy to say that the kids only watched marginally more tv than usual AND I managed to get a nap everyday AND maybe even yelled/got mad less than normal? We even left the house and did fun stuff a few times! So basically I'm calling it a raging success.

Niko is pretty far away from Leona in the picture below but this is actually much different from how he usually wants to be. The other day he was taking a bath and asked "Can Leona come lay on the mat in the bathroom? I just want her to be close by..."

Miriam also likes to be close to Leona but sometimes wants to be TOO close, so we are trying to come up with good ways for her to safely show her love.

This is how the kids usually are: fighting over who can have their face closer to Leona's!

And here's the sweetest big brother:

Leona's only flaw so far is that she thinks 5:45 is morning time, so we've been taking turns getting up with her (although sometime we catch a few minutes' nap when she falls back asleep).

Oh, and here we all are!

I love that the older kids love the baby so much! And way to go with the TV. It's such a struggle even without a new baby. Post a picture of the three car seats, I'd love to see what kinds/how you arranged them.
