Leona 4 months

Our awesome Leona is 4 months old! Ok, actually she turned 4 months old 4 weeks ago, and now we're halfway to 5 months...but in my defense, we moved two weeks ago so I'm just now getting around to her recap ;)

Leona at 4 months is absolutely delightful. She is happy while also insistent that her needs get met, and really a delight to have around. At her most recent checkup, she was 25 inches long and 14 pounds. She's growing like a weed!

Sleeping patterns: Leona naps 3 or so times a day, gets sleepy around 8 or 9, and sleeps until 3 or 4 in the morning. She wakes for a feeding and then goes back to sleep, then wakes up again to eat at 6:30 (when I feed her before leaving for work). Lately we're trying to stretch her out so she goes all night without eating!

Eating habits: Leona has breastmilk around 6 times a day. Right around 4 months she started to get suuuper jealous at dinner time, and has started wanting to eat what we're eating and gets mad if we don't share! So we've started sharing bits and pieces of what we're eating, just to give her a taste.

New discoveries I made: Leona likes reaching her toes all the way up to her head, and has discovered that she looooves laughing with her siblings!

My accomplishments: Leona is working on her hand-eye coordination and can almost get her pacifier in her mouth! She is also starting to roll around tons and travels around the room this way.

Places I went: Leona mostly went to daycare, church, and to our new apartment! Of course, she comes along with us everywhere, so she also went to the store, to kid city (a fun indoor play place), and to any number of other errand-y places.

Special memories: Miriam loves blowing raspberries/bubbles, and one night she decided to do it on Leona's tummy. I wasn't sure if Leona would like having Miriam in her space like that, but she thought it was hilarious! The sound of the two of them giggling together is what parenting dreams are made of :)

Oh I'm so glad you are recording these memories! I just don't remember daily life in very much detail, so my children get only vague, broad flavors of their early life. But Leona (& Niko & Miri) will have a contemporaneous account to peg memories to. Yay mama!
